Joseph Hachem failed to survive the final day of the EPT in one of the shocking results. This EPT event is renowned for hosting a tough field, consisting of high rollers and highly talented poker pros from both the live and online poker circuit. Among the notable players who could be seen on the felt on Day 1b were Joe Hachem, Vanessa Rousso, Daniel Negreanu, and David Williams, however none of these players could survive the day.
HACHEM BEATEN BY RAMDIN
Joe Hachem was beaten by Victor Ramdin in one of the most surprising poker results. Hachem earned $300,000 for second place, his biggest cash since his $2.2 million WPT victory in 2006. It seems the 2005 World Series of Poker main event champion has refocused his efforts this year with his third significant cash in three months.
"Had great tournament, congrats to Victor he deserved it, played his heart out," Hachem said on Twitter.
HACHEM SHINES
Joseph Hachem shined in the latest poker tournament by making fantastic moves over his opponent Jason Senti. For you Sowers fans out there, don’t worry. He’s fifth on the leaderboard after three days of play at 677,000. He’ll captain Table 7 on Monday, where his competition will include Vivek “Psyduck” Rajkumar, Lauren Kling, and Carlos Mortensen, the WPT’s all-time money leader.
HACHEM ADVANCES
Joseph Hachem advanced into the next round along with other poker stars in the WPT final. Day 1B boasted a smaller field of 209 players and it didn't have the player star power as the first starting day. Rossiter led the Day 1B field with former chess prodigy Jeff Sarwer and triple-crown winner Gavin Griffin each ending the day with over 100,000 in chips.
HACHEM WANTS AUSTRALIAN GLORY
Joe Hachem has said that he wants to get the all the winnings from the latest Australian poker tournament. “I look forward to it ever year,” the Team PokerStars Pro and Crown Casino Ambassador told PokerListings. “But it’s like a love-hate relationship. I’d love to win it and I’ve been close three or four years now, but I just haven’t been able to get there. Maybe it’s because I would love to win it so much.”
HACHEM SHINES IN SYDNEY
Joe Hachem was one of the many stars at the Sydney’s Star City Casino in December who shined. APPT Sydney is over for another year and didn’t the stars come out to play! From Daniel Negreanu and Roland de Wolfe to Tony G, Jeff Lisandro and Joe Hachem there was no shortage of quality at Sydney’s Star City Casino in December. We spend some time with eventual winner and all-round good guy Jonathan Karamalikis and have a laugh with Negreanu as part of our complete wrap.
HACHEM MISSES OUT ON SUCCESS
Joe Hachem wasn't able to get much success in the PokerStars APCOOP series last night. Team PokerStars Pros Bryan Huang and Joe Hachem were also in the mix, but neither had any success this time around. Huang was amongst the earliest eliminations, copping a brutal beat from paul3121 after his 10 hearts10 clubs cracked Huang's A spadesA hearts when he caught a runner-runner straight on a board of 8 clubs2 clubs9 spades6 diams7 hearts. Hachem was also eliminated at the halfway point of the tournament, but it was a case of friendly fire with Moffett the culprit.
HACHEM'S CHARITY TOURNAMENT RETURNS
Joe Hachem and Shane Warne Charity Poker Tournament has returned to Crown Casinos. With each table featuring at least one celebrity player, great prizes and an expected field of 500 players this event is sure to be a lot of fun and a rousing success. Last year's field gave punters a chance to clash horns at the felt with the like of Hamish Blake and Andy Lee, Peter Hellier, Michael Clarke, Jason Akermanis and Michael Parkinson. Not to mention a chance to play with two world champions in Joe Hachem and Shane Warne.
HACHEM SURVIVES
Joe Hachem is among those poker players with a chance to win the WPT title. The 2010 WPT Legends of Poker is down to 15 players, including one looking for a record-tying third WPT title.
Having already booked World Poker Tour wins at The Mirage and Foxwoods, Jonathan Little has a shot to tie Gus Hansen and Carlos Mortensen with his third WPT title win at the Bike in Los Angeles this week, currently sitting second in chips.
HACHEM THE AUSTRALIAN POKER LEGEND
Australian Joe Hachem is one of his countries greatest poker players. His unprecedented success in the Main Event of the World Series of Poker in 2005 made him a true legend of poker because after crossing a wide field of 5,619 participants, Hachem completed an exceptional final which was lasting about 14 hours. And despite this long battleship, he was still able to face Steve Danneman during the final head's up. After six hands only, Hachem won the world championship of poker. His tenacity and strength have greatly impressed the audience who followed this game.
